Honda Celebrates National Pollution Control Day 2017

Educating more than a lakh customers Honda navigates towards a cleaner future

New Delhi, 4th December, 2017: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., participated in National Pollution Control Day by educating its valued customers about ways to reduce pollution.  Honda’s 5,500+ strong networks across India also conducted free PUC check-ups.

In line with the global vision of “Blue sky for our children” Honda 2Wheelers India is committed towards a greener tomorrow. Free Pollution Under-Control (PUC) check-up is focused towards keeping emission under control. Customers were also educated about the elements of reduce, reuse and recycle to decrease the amount of waste.

On this occasion, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Honda 2Wheelers India believes in the philosophy of ‘Being a company that society wants to exist’Commemorating the National Pollution Control Day, Honda is striving towards the larger cause of environment conservation via sustainable development. More than a lac customers were also enlightened about various ways to reduce pollution in their day to day lives. 

Apart from free emission tests, Honda’s sales and service network also educated customers about ways to reduce pollution. Customers were enlightened about use of LED bulbs which consume far less electricity in comparison to standard halogen bulbs. Interactive hoardings and banners were also used to spread awareness about ways to control pollution.

Paralelly, Honda 2Wheelers India has taken various measures in its 4 manufacturing plants across India (Manesar, Tapukara, Narsapura and Vithalapur). As a responsible corporate, Honda2Wheelers India has developed its manufacturing facilities with a Green Factory concept with zero liquid discharge. Rain water harvesting is utilised in all plants to reduce water consumption. With a commitment to achieve 30% CO2 emission reduction by the end of 2020, Honda has also aligned stakeholders to practice eco-friendly processes in their respective business activities.
