Audi India opens 2nd world-class showroom in Karnataka at Mangalore

Mangalore, November 22, 2013: Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, today inaugurated its 30th world-class showroom in India and its 2nd in the state of Karnataka in Mangalore after Audi Bengaluru. The entire Audi model range in India will be available at Audi Mangalore. 

“Expansion of our network footprint is an integral pillar of our India strategy. 2013 has been a very successful year for us. We continue to grow and will be the first luxury car manufacturer in India to surpass sales of 10,000 units in a calendar year. The response to our brand and products has been remarkable and we do not want to be lacking in our efforts in any way in reaching out to Audi enthusiasts in this region.

The inauguration of Audi Mangalore is yet another step in this direction. With the opening of this new showroom in Mangalore, we will be able to further strengthen our foothold in this region and consolidate our leadership position in the country. Located in a landmark building of Mangalore called The MAK Mall, Audi Mangalore is spread over a total area of 5500 sq. ft. With the signature Audi honeycomb aluminum facade on the exterior, and a display area that can accommodate 8 cars, Audi Mangalore will display the entire range of Audi cars available in India. Audi Mangalore will also house an Audi Shop where customers can purchase a variety of Audi branded merchandise.

Audi Mangalore will also manage the exclusive Audi service facility, located on Kuloor Junction, NH -17, Mangalore in Karnataka. This facility is spread over an area of 13,200 sq ft. and has a capacity to service 12 cars per day in a single shift on a total of 6 bays. The technicians at the facility are trained to ensure world-class services to the customers.

Audi closed yet another record month in India with a sale of 1002 units in October 2013, a growth of 17.8 percent (October 2012: 850 cars). Sales for the period January – October 2013 stood at 8393 units, a growth of 15.4 percent (January – October 2012: 7267 units).

Audi India plans to expand its network to 34 dealerships by the end of 2013 from its existing 30 centers. The company opened new showrooms in Mumbai South, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Delhi Central, Karnal and Vadodara earlier this year. Last year also saw the opening of world-class Audi showrooms in Raipur, Kanpur, Goa, Navi Mumbai, Coimbatore, Delhi West, Nagpur and Bhopal. Further developments include Visakhapatnam and Noida among others.

The Audi model range in India includes the Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A7 Sportback, Audi A8L, Audi Q3, Audi Q3 S Edition, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi S4, Audi S6, Audi RS 5 Coupé, Audi TT Coupé, the super sports car Audi R8, Audi R8 Spyder and the Audi R8 V10 plus available across the country: in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi Central, Delhi South, Delhi West, Goa, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kanpur, Karnal, Kochi, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai West, Mumbai South, Nagpur, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Raipur, Surat and Vadodara.
