5TH PU-Tech’2017 Exhibition and Conference successfully concludes in Delhi

Over 200 Exhibitors, 5000 visitors &15 countries participated

17thMarch 2017, New Delhi, The 5th edition of India’s largest polyurethane Exhibition and conference PU-tech 2017 organised by Indian Polyurethane organisation (8th -10th March 2017) successfully concluded in India Expo Centre, Greater Noida.  With an objective to discuss solutions for a comprehensive growth in technology & markets, it was attended by more than 5000 delegates, exhibitors and visitors, and brought together raw material producers, equipment suppliers, end-users and the industry at large. It was inaugurated by Mr. R C Bhargava, Chairman of Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

More than 200 exhibitors exhibited their skills and wares over an area of 10,500 sq.ms. and connected visitors from all parts of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Male, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Middle East, Africa & other countries.

The conference brought the innovation and sustainability focus of the industry into the forefront, inaugurated by Dr. Andrea Maier-Richter of Covestro and 12 speakers from the leading research-oriented companies from all over the world gave insights into the depth of activity to push performance according to market needs.

IPUA pavilion highlighting various activities related to IPUA which lead to came in a lot of commendations and enhanced the mood of optimism prevailing in our industry.  The PUTECH Café was appreciated by all.

The Polyurethane Industry is one of the rapidly growing industries in India which has registered double digit growth during the past five years and is expected to double every four years in the coming decade. Stating his views on the industry scenario of Polyurethane Mr Mukesh Bhuta chairman PU-TECH said “India today processes 565000mtpa of polyurethanes (as against China’s figure of 6435000mtpa) and this is expected to cross the 1 million mtpa mark in the next three to four years.”  An overwhelming response from the visitors echoing the same view about a remarkable growth in the polyurethane industry in coming years.

PU TECH featured a gala dinner on March 8 with an award ceremony.  The categories for awards included SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR SERVICE TO IPUA to Mr. K Ramamurthy, awards for PROCESS INNOVATION, PRODUCT INNOVATION and START UPs.  All the exhibitors were happy with the entire show and got around 60 to 85 new contacts and prospects. Members also appreciated in having wide aisles and this resulted in more moving space and gave an international flavour to the show.

About The Indian Polyurethane Association (IPUA)

The Indian Polyurethane Association was formed in 1992. It is non-profit organisation created to promote a healthy growth of the Polyurethane Industry in India in the interests of the producers, processors, consumers and the society at large. It has been responsible for bringing together a heterogeneous group consisting of raw material manufacturers, machinery manufacturers, Processors, Moulders, laboratories etc under the banner of Indian Polyurethane Association (IPUA). The Association comprises of members of all sizes global and domestic. It  works together for the development of the industry. The main objectives of the IPUA are to increase applications using polyurethane and make the industry technologically savvy and socially relevant.
