Vespa pays tribute to Mother Nature at Kala Ghoda with Art on Vespa Bodies

Creates a larger than life artistic installation under its Vespa Art initiative

February 10, Mumbai: The iconic Italian scooter brand Vespa’s rich cultural heritage has always been associated with art and lifestyle. The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is one of the best-known cultural festival in the country featuring art, cinema, literature and performance. The Vespa art installation at Kala Ghoda Art Festival is a live art representation of the cores of the earth, water, fire, air, aether, metal and wood that denote the power of mobility that Vespa brings to the world. The artistic steel installation called the Power to Earth pays tribute to Mother Nature with Vespa bodies representing the cores of Earth. Taking an inspiration from the Vespa Art initiative, a team of Vespa artists have hand-painted Vespa bodies to depict key elements of nature and created a larger than life installation that complements the potential of the iconic and stylish scooters.

Commenting on the artistic work, Mr. Diego Graffi, CEO and MD Piaggio India said, “Vespa is a work of art and its timeless appeal is deeply rooted in heritage – it is one of the world’s most iconic brand that celebrates life and has close association with art and lifestyle. Kala Ghoda Arts Festival has become a symbol of art conservation for the past 20 years and through the Power to Earth installation we wanted to give art admirers of Kala Ghoda a glimpse into the world of Vespa Art.”

Mr Ashish Yakhmi, Head – Two-Wheeler business added, “Vespa is a perfect combination of style and practicality, combined with comfort and legendary looks. It is our endeavor to bring out the artistic and aesthetic side of Vespa, its brand ethos and style identity for the young audience. With this idea in mind, we found the artistic arena of Kala Ghoda the perfect ground to replicate the designs of nature on Vespa bodies for the enthusiastic art-lovers.”
