(SEOUL) December 1, 2017 – Kia Motors Corporation announced its November 2017 global sales figures for passenger cars, recreational vehicles (RVs) and commercial vehicles, recording a total of 259,643 units sold.
In November, sales in Korea slightly increased to 49,027 units from 48,906 a year earlier led by Kia’s RV line-up that includes Sorento, Niro and Stonic.
The company posted 210,616 units of overseas sales in November, which represents a decrease of 17.6% compared to the previous year due to weakening demand in some of world’s major economies and toughening competition.
Kia’s best-selling model in overseas markets during November 2017 was the Sportage compact SUV with 36,882 units sold. The Cerato compact sedan (known as ‘Forte’ or ‘K3’ in some markets) was the second best seller with 34,145 units sold, followed by the subcompact Rio (known as ‘Pride’ in Korea) with 27,835 units sold.
