“Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2016” is being organized by Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM) jointly with Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Auto Expo- The Motor Show 2016 is scheduled for the 5th– 9th February, 2016. As the tagline suggests, the Auto Expo- The Motor Show 2016 promises to be ‘Bigger, Better and More Exciting’. While the show still is almost four months away, the preparations for the mega event are well on their way and promise to raise the grandeur of the event by a few notches.
The India Expo Mart Limited (IEML) has been given a massive makeover prior to the upcoming Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2016. The venue has witnessed enormous construction in the form of six large halls created in the venue with an additional carpet area of 37240 sqms. The venue previously had only 8 permanent halls measuring 27,648 sqms. In the 2014 edition, the remaining display was curated in temporary hangers measuring 32,400 sqms. IEML has now constructed Hall 9-12 and 14-15 as permanent halls complete with air conditioning and adequate power supply cabling.
The entire venue has been booked and people are still showing interest to participate. It is expected that there will be around six lakhs visitors in Auto Expo – The Motor Show this year during the five public days, which will be almost 20% more than the last edition.
As in the line-up of the previous editions of the Auto Expo, Four-wheeler manufacturers such as Mercedes, JLR, Audi, BMW, Jeep, Fiat, Ford, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai, Maruti, etc. shall be present at the venue this year. In the two-wheeler segment, apart from HeroMotoCorp, TVS, Honda Motorcycle & Scooters, India Yamaha, etc. there will be some new brands like DSK Benelli, BMW Motorrad and Polaris.
Apart from the vehicle manufacturers, Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2016 will comprise of Tyres and Tubes, Oil Companies, Automotive Design and Technology, Engineering and IT for Automobile Companies, Institutions, Universities, Financial Institutions, Auto Insurance Companies, and Media & Auto Publications.
Also, there will be a pavilion of vintage cars and focused activity area where live actions will take place. Auto-enthusiasts will have a great day out at the motor show, which will be complete with offerings from various food brands satisfying the taste buds of all visitors.
