Hyundai CSR initiative Happy Move – ‘Save Our Heritage’ Phase-II Concludes

Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the country’s second largest car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter, concluded Second Phase (July 11-21, 2016) of its Global CSR campaign – Happy Move – ‘Save Our Heritage’ at 4 heritage sites in Delhi. The initiative was undertaken in collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and involved a School Contact Program with focus on spreading awareness around India’s heritage and bringing it into the mainstream consciousness.

As a part of the initiative, Happy Move Global Youth Volunteers conducted awareness drive at heritage sites of Jantar Mantar, Qutub Minar, Old Fort and Hauz Khas. The volunteers also undertook maintenance activities to preserve the amenities, gardens along with awareness drives to educate the visitors about the value of our heritage.

The School Contact Program reached out to 4 Delhi -Tamil Association (DTEA) Senior Secondary Schools in Lodhi Estate, R.K.Puram, INA Market and Mandir Marg respectively. The program involved school premises cleaning, school wall designing, maintenance of gardens and design competitions to generate a creative and innovative study environment.

To spread the awareness, a special performance was organized at Central park, Connaught Place which witnessed a huge gathering of the visitors supporting the awareness campaign.
