Honda Cars India Ltd. records Annual Domestic Sales of 192,059 units with 2% growth in FY 2015 – 16

Registers domestic sales of 17,430 units in March 2016

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, recorded annual domestic sales of 192,059 units during FY 2015 – 16 recording 2% growth over last financial year. The company had sold 189,062 units during FY 2014 – 15.

The company has registered monthly domestic sales of 17,430 units in March 2016, as compared to 22,696 units in the corresponding month last year. The company exported 193 units in the month of March’16.

HCIL exported a total volume of 5,740 units during FY 15-16.

Commenting on company’s sales performance, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “Year 2015-16 was an eventful and rewarding year for HCIL. We continued our growth journey in the market making this year as 4^th consecutive year of annual sales growth. The new fiscal year holds tremendous opportunity for our further growth as we will enhance our product line-up with the launch of new models and expand our dealer network.
